Not known for its extensive gemological deposits, New York City does frequently create some wonderful rough as a by-product of street crime. This sample is residual to a plate glass window formerly at the corner of 50th street and 7th Avenue. No trace of the originating vandals can be found as all prints and other incriminating evidence have been removed through the cutting process.

This lovely steel blue sample of "Vandalite" glass features a custom cut antique cushion shape inspired by the Cullinan I diamond. The piece weighs 3.76 carats and measures 9.8mm by 9.8mm.
