This exhibit presents a series of gemstones designed to promote interest in-- and understanding of-- gemological minerals. Samples are chosen for their geologic features a nd inexpensive nature. While inexpensive, it is important to note the relative rarity of each piece. A thorough search of the tons of earth composing your backyard for instance, is unlikely to yield these gemstones in any size much less those presented here.

Through careful study, each gemstone is guaranteed to educate, fascinate, and provide a keener appreciation of the earth and its development.
